This is the story of the sad experience of Johnny, a boy who disregarded his father’s advice not to have anything to do with little devils, and who experienced how enslaving such a friendly relationship with the devil can become. Johnny was saved from his sad predicament by his “big secret”: the certainty that his father still loved him, in spite of everything.
This story is a modern day “parable” that emphasizes the importance of LOVE and TRUST that should characterize the relationship between any child and God. This is the general background against which any child can understand the error of not following God’s guidance (by committing a sin), the courage and humility needed to acknowledge one’s fault, and the happiness of being forgiven because of God’s enduring love.
Children preparing for their first confession, as well as their parents and religion teacher/catechists who prepare the children for that important step in their spiritual life
